- GMspam confirmed here on the official Lineage2 Discussion Boards that over 50 accounts got banned for selling stuff on ebay.
Quote:
It means that we banned over 50 accounts and got rid of over 1 billion adena yeserday and today. The web sites owed money to people and dropped out of sight before they were found. The number of paying customers is increasing every day BTW

We bust the whole ring at one time. It's no good to just bust the farmers. We let the farmers farm until we find all the pimps. Once we know they are selling and not farming for their clan, guild, pledge, we zap them all at once.

The official launch date for Lineage II will be April 28.
Lineage II is the visually-stunning prequel to the world’s most popular online game, Lineage. Group with friends, tame powerful dragons, participate in epic struggles and lay siege to majestic castles in this massive medieval fantasy world created with Epic’s Unreal™ engine.
The game will be available at a suggested retail price of US$49.99 and includes the first month of online game play. After the first month, players will be charged a monthly subscription fee of US$14.99. Sixty-day game time cards will also be available at many North American retailers for a suggested retail price of US$29.99.
Lineage II already is enjoying a successful open beta campaign, which began in late March. Tens of thousands have already signed up for the game and are enjoying the spectacular 3D visuals and the intense player-on-player combat that makes Lineage II a hallmark product in the world of massively multiplayer online role playing games.
Players still have time to sign up for the open beta and participate in several challenges and contests created just for the beta test. Free gaming systems, gift certificates, LCD monitors and video cards are among the prizes to be given away. Those who participate in the beta test will not have their characters deleted when the game hits its commercial launch date later this month. - Lineage II: The Chaotic Chronicle
12/26/03 11:00 AM
- "Can the father of the modern RPG, Lord British, breathe new life into the burgeoning and nearly overpopulated MMORPG scene?"
See what GameSpy has to say about this impressive looking game. (Psst...you can ride and fly around on a dragon!)
"Lineage 2 is actually a prequel to the existing Lineage game, but by looking at it, you'd never know it. Using a modified version of the latest Unreal engine, the game is beautifully rendered, and thanks to the technology, there are no load times once you get the game going. In other words, there is no "zoning" or anything else to take you out of this alternate reality. Some areas are amazing enough to just stop and look, taking in the details present throughout. For example, one of the race's starting areas features a giant statue that's actually underneath the grating that works as a floor. If you don't look down, you'll never see it, but once you do, it's very impressive.
As for the gameplay, Lineage 2 includes many of the things you expect from a fantasy-based MMORPG. You've got five races, each with two classes (warrior or wizard). Each has certain skills that you can choose to follow, even changing them along the way to suit your playing style. While this limits you to basically ten different variations, the devil is in the details, and L2 is full of those. Each piece of armor has a very distinctive look, and while many of the monsters are of the same "breed," there are ways of telling how easy or difficult they may be in battle simply by looking at them
Other details include mounts -- creatures you can ride -- that make traveling much faster and easier. In the demonstration I played, the GM (Game Master) wasn't able to give me a mount, but he put himself up on a dragon and flew around. Not only was this incredibly cool-looking, but the dragon itself works like a pet. In other words, in addition to wisping you around at high speeds, the dragon will fight alongside you and allow you to attack things that would otherwise be too difficult as a solo character. But, realistically, who doesn't want to ride around on a dragon for the sheer thrill? (There are, of course, other mounts available, depending on your level and skill.)
Speaking of flying around solo on a dragon, Lineage 2 is an MMORPG that actually allows for soloing if you so choose. In other word...
